MAINTAINING YOUR RESIN PIECES
Resin is a wonderful material that allows us to do many things not possible in any other material. We want you to enjoy the beautiful finish and colour of every piece for many years.
Each piece we make goes through a long process of refining and polishing that can take a day or more to complete.
Follow these basics for a lasting lustre.
Handling
To keep your resin piece looking nice and scratch free, we recommend always using a coaster when placing drinks on a surface. Normal wear and tear will occur without any protective measures and for some this adds a lived in patina to the surface.
Our resins contain UV stbilizers which offer some protection and increase colour longevity. We do not advise placement in direct and continuous sun exposure.
Refresh the finish
Our go to product for refreshing high gloss surfaces is food grade mineral oil. Wax on, wax off.
Our OORT OBJECTS contain inner bubbles that seed the polished surface. Should these appear white in colour a bit of mineral oil rubbed in will clear it up.
Refinishing
Resin is a solid material with colour all the way through. Accidents happen, if deep scratches occur the surface can be sanded back to remove the imperfections and then polished back up.
